Curious Girl will be a stayer, no doubt

Curious Girl had just half a length to spare in her Maiden win over 1800m at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Friday evening, but jockey Craig Zackey said there was more merit in the win than the margin showed.
"She has to grow into her big frame, she has to strengthen up still. She dropped the bit around the 1000m mark, she was a bit leggy and hit a flat spot. But she picked it up again, she liked having company and she did it all in time."
Mike de Kock commented: "This wasn't the strongest of fields, but to win her second start over 1800m, out at weight for age, after a 1600m debut shows that she'll be a staying filly. I'm not going to be a in a hurry to let her run again soon, she needs time to strengthen up and furnish. I think she'll be effective over a mile and a half and even further. She'll be competitive in staying races."
Curious Girl is by Futura out of a mare by Ideal World - the stable's sentiments certainly reflect in her pedigree. She was bred by Riyo Stud and races for Hollywood Racing (Nominee: Anthony Delpech).
