Mathew de Kock's comments for our two runners at the Vaal today:
Race 2, 1000m: "Staggerwing is a newcomer by Rafeef who shows us good quality work at home. There are a few with race experience and good form against her, so she'll have to overcome her inexperience. But she has the potential to run in the first three, perhaps even better. A nice filly."
Race 5, 1000m: "We were stuck for a race for Miami Mountain, we found this 1000m contest as a preparation for the Man O'War Sprint in three weeks' time. We're not sure how he'll go over 1000m. Based on what he's shown us this could be a bit sharp for him, but we're expecting him to finish it off well and if he quickens late he'll have a chance of getting there."
