Race 7, 1400m:  “Officer in Command needs another run or two to get to his peak and his right trip. He’s an honest sort, and we’ll be happy if he can get into the places.”

Race 8, 1400m: “Two in the race with chances. Next Of Kin is coming to hand well, he ran a really good race to Master Bomber last week and should back it up with another competitive effort. My Lucky Charm travelled well from Johannesburg. He’s had some bad luck with draws, but he has a nice inside gate here and should find himself in a good spot. We’re hopeful that one of them can cross the line first.”
