Weekend runners
Saturday, 11 Apr 2026

Lucky Fish Ambassadors Mike and Mathew de Kock have two feature-race runners at the weekend.
The unbeaten World Attraction takes on a quality field in the R3-million Race Coast Sales Slipper over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Saturday, and Miami Mountain is back over 1100m at Turffontein on Sunday for the Betway Mythical Flight Sprint.
World Attraction was trucked to Summerveld from Randjesfontein on Friday and Mat commented: “We drew the carpark gate, 13/14, which makes things very tough over 1200m in a field like this. He has lots of talent and ability and has been in good form at home, but from that draw we’ll need lots of luck.”
First-timer Bai Yulu is the stable’s only other runner on the day – Race 2 over 1600m. She is by The Apache out of owner/breeder Winston Chow’s staying filly The Centenary, whose wins included the Listed Spook Express Handicap over 2450m.
Mat said: “Bai Yulu is bred to go around the track twice. She will need the experience and will improve with this run behind her.”
Miami Mountain returns to the course and distance of his eye-catching win in February’s Man O’War Sprint. Mat said he is in a good space and that another big run is expected. He will be fitted with blinkers again. “There is a weight turnaround with some of those he beat in the Man O’War, but he did win that race well and remains . He seems to love the straight racing. It’s only a six-horse field and this may work in his favour, because he may not become so detached.”
