Callan's on course for career-best season

Stable jockey Callan Murray rode his 100th winner of the 2025/26 season when partnering Victory In Orleans to victory for Vaughan Marshall at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old is on course for the best season of his career. His current personal best stands at 104 winners and, with seven weeks remaining in the campaign, he appears certain to surpass that mark.

He’s done that without extensive travelling or chasing the title, rather focusing on sharpening his skills and making the most of each ride.

Callan has ridden 13 career Grade 1 winners, including stars from our yard such as Rafeef, Hawwaam and Heavenly Blue, and his association with a number of champions has helped shape him into the polished professional he is today.

His return from Australia has been of great benefit to De Kock Racing and we are proud and happy to be a part of his journey.
