Runner comments, HWB Greyville 13/5

Mike de Kock will be saddling Diamond Maker (Race 2, 1400m) and Spaarne Rivier (Race 2, 1400m), on behalf of the Lucky Fish-sponsored M&M partnership on the polytrack at Hollywoodbets Greyville this afternoon.

He said: “Diamond Maker tries the surface. This is his third run, so he is on the up and getting fitter. He’s a horse to keep an eye on over further.”

Spaarne Rivier finished close-up in third after a rest to Masterofthedesert on 17 April. Red Bomber (behind him in that contest), franked the form with a win last Saturday. Mike said: “That was a good run back. Spaarne Rivier has had his niggles, but he is doing well and does have a good draw. I am a bit weary of the second run after a layoff so I don’t have a massive amount of confidence, but he must be included in your exotics.”
