Vaal runners, 21 May

Here are Lucky Fish ambassadors Mike and Mathew de Kock’s runner comments for the race meeting at the Vaal today.

Race 5, 2400m: “Corrupt needed his last run and has made progress since. He has more improvement to come. He is better suited to this distance and we’re expecting a much better performance.”

Race 6, 1600m: “If Open Sesame can reproduce her last run, she’ll have a strong each-way chance. We’re not sure how she will handle the straight mile, but she keeps pulling bad draws for races around the bend so we’re hopeful she goes well. She is in good form at home.”

Race 8, 1400m: “Bristol Hercules and Buddy Boy are both looking particularly well after a rest. They enjoyed their time off, they’re sound and moving nicely. They’re both probably around 85% fit, but they’re happy horses and we’ll be looking for nice runs from the pair. Both will improve.”
