Runners at the Vaal on 25 June

Here are Lucky Fish ambassadors Mike and Mathew de Kock’s comments for their pair of runners on the classic track at the Vaal on Thursday, 25 June:

Race 1, 1200m:Vision Of Gold is a daughter of Gold Standard from Drakenstein Stud. She’s a half-sister to See It Again. She works nicely and from a good draw we give her an eachway chance on her debut. She should run well, she’s a strong filly and it looks like 1400m won’t be a problem for her one day.”

Race 6, 1450m: “Heal and Soul has his first run for us. Based on his form, this is too short for him. But it’s fine, he is quite a heavy horse and we’d like to see him a bit more trim and fitter. We’re starting him off over 1450m so he can tighten up and lose some weight and then we’ll extend him over further. We’ll be watching with interest how he goes.”
