Two runners at Turffontein, Saturday

Lucky Fish ambassadors Mike and Mathew de Kock send out two short-priced favourites at Turffontein standside track today.

Mat said about Rising Eagle (Race 1, 1160m): “We are very happy with him. He has that frustrating inside draw up the straight at Turffontein which always seems to be a slight negative. But he has made nice natural improvement at home and has a winning chance. We hope he gets the job done.”

Heal and Soul made a promising 1450m debut for the stable and steps up to 1800m in Race 5 over 1800m. The runners in this contest are all rated within just few points of each other and it is probably more competitive than the betting suggests.

Mat commented: ‘Heal and Soul is doing well, he has tightened up at home, and on paper will have no trouble with 1800m. Include him in all bets.”
